Venue & date of the ATP Finals 2025

The northern Italian metropolis of Turin will remain the home of the ATP Finals in 2025.
From November 9 to 16, 2025, the Pala Alpitour will be transformed into a stronghold of world tennis.

The modern multi-purpose hall offers space for over 12,000 spectators and has become a real tennis temple in recent years. Following the success of previous events, Turin has finally established itself as a worthy successor to London.

Off the court, the city impresses with Italian flair, culinary highlights and a unique atmosphere. The players love the mix of sporting intensity and Mediterranean lifestyle - a combination that makes the ATP Finals so special.

ATP Finals match mode - the special format

The ATP Finals are very different from other tournaments. Instead of a classic knockout system, there is a group stage - similar to a soccer World Cup.

The mode at a glance:

  • 8 players compete in 2 groups of 4 players each.
  • Each player plays three group matches ("Round Robin").
  • The top 2 from each group reach the semi-finals.
  • The semi-finals and final will be played in knockout mode.

This means that even after a defeat, a player can still win the tournament - which provides additional excitement. This format rewards consistency, mental strength and tactical skill.

Another highlight: valuable ATP points and prize money are awarded for every victory in the group phase. If you win the tournament undefeated, you can collect up to 1,500 ATP points and over 4.5 million US dollars in prize money - more than some Grand Slam titles!

The qualified players for the 2025 ATP Finals

Every year, the ATP Finals bring together the eight best players of the season - those who have collected the most points in the so-called "Race to Turin".

  1. Carlos Alcaraz - The young Spaniard plays tennis with an explosive mixture of power, creativity and irrepressible fighting spirit. After his Grand Slam successes, Alcaraz now wants to prove at the ATP Finals that the future of tennis has long since begun.
  2. Jannik Sinner - The local hero from South Tyrol has played an impressive 2025 season and wants to successfully defend his title in Turin. With his coolness, precision and mental strength, Sinner not only inspires Italy - but the entire tennis world.
  3. Alexander Zverev - The Hamburg native knows the feeling of winning the ATP Finals - twice. After his return to the top of the world rankings, Zverev is ready to attack again and secure the title.
  4. Novak Djokovic - The record-breaking champion chases the next historic milestone in Turin and shows that age is just a number for him. With his unshakeable winning mentality, Djokovic wants to prove why he is the benchmark of modern tennis.
  5. Ben Shelton - The young American brings a breath of fresh air to the tour - with his explosive serve and emotional style of play. Shelton is the crowd favorite of the new generation and wants to cause a surprise at the ATP Finals.
  6. Taylor Fritz - With his powerful forehand and aggressive return game, Fritz is one of the most dangerous hardcourt players in the world. The Californian wants to show in Turin that he finally belongs to the elite of men's tennis.
  7. Alex de Minaur - The "Speed Demon" from Australia inspires with his incredible speed and combative energy on every point. De Minaur is the epitome of passion and has deservedly played his way into the season finale with consistent performances.

But one place is still up for grabs - and the battle for it promises to be exciting right to the end. Félix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti will decide in the final week of the tournament who secures the last ticket and completes the exclusive field of eight. Musetti is currently playing the ATP 250 tournament in Athens, which he must win in order to be able to play in Turin from Sunday.

Why the ATP Finals are so special

The ATP Finals are not only unique because of the format - they are the ultimate test of performance in men's tennis. Only champions play here, every point counts and every match feels like a final. Many players call the event the "tournament of truth": whoever wins the ATP Finals has proven their class over the entire season - physically, mentally and tactically.

The atmosphere is electrifying: music, light shows and an enthusiastic crowd turn every match into a spectacle. The "Night Sessions", which perfectly combine sport and entertainment, are particularly popular.

Fun facts & historical highlights

  • Novak Djokovic won his seventh title in 2023 - a record that could be extended in 2025.
  • The tournament was first held in 1970, when it was still known as the Masters Grand Prix.
  • Alexander Zverev was the first German winner since Boris Becker in 2018 and 2021.
  • The venue changes every few years - Turin has been the host city since 2021 and is expected to remain so until 2027.

Conclusion: The ATP Finals crown the tennis king of the year

The ATP Finals 2025 are more than just the last tournament of the season - they are a showcase for the best tennis has to offer. This is where passion, perfection and pure competitive spirit meet. Whether Alcaraz, Djokovic or Sinner - in the end, only one will secure the coveted title and go down in history as the champion of the ATP Finals 2025.
